You hear the term “the cloud” all the time. People talk about “cloud storage,” “cloud services,” and “cloud computing.” It sounds high-tech and maybe even a little mysterious. But what exactly is the cloud? Don’t worry, it’s much simpler than it sounds!
Imagine all your important things – your photos, your documents, your favorite music and videos. Traditionally, you would store these on the hard drive of your computer or phone. If something happened to that device (it crashed, got lost, or was stolen), your precious data could be gone forever.
